Community Dinners

The fourth Saturday of month we host a free meal for the community. Pastor opens with prayer at 11 am with meals being served until noon. This hot meal includes a beverage and a dessert. Past meals have included stroganoff, sausage and peppers and perogies. Come and see what we have this month!

These meals are made possible because of Thrivent Action Teams.  Several of our members are also Thrivent members. These members have decided to use their Thrivent dollars to help benefit our Hazleton Community. Thank you to Thrivent and our Thrivent members for making this happen.

For high school students, we currently meet the first Sunday of the month after church. It is time of fun activities, food, Bible teaching, and life application of Bible and Luther's Small Catechism. Our current project is to raise funds so we can attend the 2019 LCMS National Youth Gathering in Minneapolis, MN. We do not just keep to ourselves; we are active within the church. You might find us ushering on Sunday, helping at a Community Dinner, or singing special music during an Advent or Lenten Service. If you are in 9th through 12th grade or have a student in this age group and would like to learn more, please contact us at the church so you can come and check us out.

We boxedup the snacks and personal items for our servicemen and women as a part of our church's "Gifts from Home." Eight boxes were sent to a church member who is stationed overseas. Once they arrive, they will be given to the servicemen and women who need these items.

Lydia Society

Picture

Lydia is our ladies society. They are an essential part of our church.  They make sure that the church runs smoothly. They are missioned minded by contributing to LWML (Lutheran Women's Mission League) on a regular basis. They enjoy working behind the scenes in the church. When you come to visit, you will have to pay attention to see them in action.

Orphan Grain Train

With the number of Atlantic and Gulf hurricanes during the 2017 Summer, we were busy helping to stocking the Puerto Rico container with supplies. We brought in basic toiletries and clothing. A couple of our members even traveled to deliver the items and help load the OGT container.
